• Visit https://business.vbank.ng/ on web browser

  • Log in with account credentials.

  • Prompt to activate 2FA, user clicks Proceed.

  • Download the Google Authenticator App for Android or iOS and set up an account or decide to use the app without an account. See the Google Authenticator logo below.

  • Click Set up Authenticator 

  • Enter your 4-digit transaction PIN


  • On the Google Authenticator mobile application, click on the sign on the bottom right corner of the Google Authenticator App

  • Select Scan QR Code

  • Place your camera in front of your laptop to scan the code

  • NB: Confirm you can now see the 6 digit code on your Google Authentication mobile app home page

  • Click on Next


  • Enter the 6-digit code on the Google Authenticator app in the field on the Vbiz website

  • Click Verify

  • Congratulations you have completed your account 2fa setup

  • Click Got it to continue Dashboard


If you encounter any issue during your setup, kindly send an email to support@vbiz.ng with a screenshot of the error message or contact your account manager.

Update Regarding 2FA Setup Issue


If a user has followed all the steps in the setup procedure document above and are still getting the error message "OTP verification failed, kindly try again later" when entering the 6-digit code, as seen in this attached image.



Please note that this issue might be due to an incorrect time or date on the customer's device (either laptop or mobile phone). This discrepancy can cause the code verification process to fail.


Please advise the customer to do the following:


  1. Check and update the time and date on their device, then try again.

  2. Delete any previous instance of the Vbiz setup on the Google Authenticator app. This can be done by long-pressing the setup (see attached image) and clicking the bin icon. The customer should then perform the barcode scanning again to generate a fresh Vbiz instance on the Google Authenticator app.
