Q: Does VFD-bank issue ATM cards?


A: Yes, V bank issues physical and virtual Verve debit cards.


You can also make use of our card-less withdrawal feature.


 


Q: How can I get an ATM card?


A: You can request a new physical card by following the steps below:



  • Login to the V Bank App and select cards

  • Click on Request New on the top right side of your screen, select the card type ie. Physical or virtual and select the account you want the card to be linked to

  • Complete your address form, click on Request New Card and authorize with your PIN, and N1,000 will be deducted from your account.


You will be contacted for delivery once your card is ready.


NB: Your Card request will not be completed if you do not have up to N1,000 in your Universal savings account 


 


Q: How long will it take to get the V card?


A: The V Cards are dispatched to the client within 14 working days of making the request,


However please ensure you have updated your KYC status and account is funded with a one-off debit card fee of N1000

Q: Is there a charge on the ATM request?


A: A one-off Debit Card fee of N1000 is required to carry out a card request.


 The Virtual card on the other hand cost N500.


 


Q: How long do I have to wait to get my ATM card?


A: The V Cards are dispatched within 14 working days after being debited for your card request within Lagos & stipulated locations.

Q: I want to activate my ATM card.


A: Kindly follow the step-by-step process below for activating and generating your PIN on your Vcard via the self-service menu:


Using USSD:



  1. Dial the Vbank USSD Code (*5037#)

  2. Select option 10 (ATM Card)

  3. Enter your 4-digit USSD PIN or Mobile App PIN to confirm

  4. Your Default ATM card PIN is displayed


Then proceed to the ATM to change the PIN to a more personalized PIN


At any ATM terminal:


For ATMs that shows the change pin option at first.



  • Insert card

  • Click on "change pin",

  • Enter the default PIN and click proceed/enter

  • Enter new pin

  • Confirm new pin


For ATMs that do not show the change pin option at first.



  • Insert card and log in using the default PIN

  • Enter the default pin and click proceed/enter

  • Click on "change pin”

  • Enter new pin

  • Confirm new pin


 USING THE V APP: 



  1. Login to the V bank App

  2. Select Cards and click on Physical

  3. Click on Activate Physical Card and provide all the requested card details.

  4. Or you can also scan the card image by clicking on the "SCAN ICON" on the top right side of the screen to automatically pick card details

  5. Once done, click on Activate Card and authorize with your 4-digit V bank PIN to complete the process


Q: Must I be at an ATM before initiating a cardless withdrawal?


A: No, you do not. The funds will be on hold for 24 hours before reversing to your account.


 


Q: Is there a limit to how much I can transact using the ATM card?


A: To restrict the risk exposure of a customer’s account with V Bank and to clamp down on fraudulent transactions, a limit has been imposed on the card usage on various channels: ATM, POS, and WEB.
